VOLUNTEERING - Why do it?
The truth is there isn't one answer to this question, in fact there are plenty of possible answers why one should volunteer. Volunteering is special because it's a product of relationships between people, their interests, passions and aspirations. Volunteering saves lives, changes organizations direction.
So why volunteer:
1. Give something back
Volunteering offers the chance to step back from our everyday lives, appreciate what we have or even take for granted and give back in whatever way we can to those who are less fortunate.
2. Sense of purpose
Volunteering serves to express and facilitate opportunities to carry out one’s sense of purpose.
3. Good for society
Volunteers pick up the pieces where government programs leave off and by volunteering these guys are helping society meet the needs of people from all walks of life and children.
